A ribbon cutting was held on Friday, June 23, celebrating the opening of the Paso Robles’ first ever roundabout, located at Golden Hill and Union Road. The project was funded by Development Impact Fees with a grant from SLOCOG; no supplemental sales tax funds were used. Earth Systems’ Sydney Johnson managed field operations during project construction and assisted in design and recommendations for the pavement.
The ribbon cutting theme included peanuts as reference to the unusual “peanut” shape of the roundabout. After the ribbon cutting, a parade of construction vehicles and law enforcement toured the roundabout.
