Earth Systems hosted our annual Corporate Seminars this week (February 27th and 28th, 2015). Senior and emerging leaders from throughout the company gathered together for two days in San Luis Obispo, CA to share case studies, lessons learned, and pertinent professional subjects.
Beyond the important case studies and discussions, this year Earth Systems brought in a few outside experts to share presentations specific to the geotechnical engineering and materials testing/inspection industries. Invited guest speakers included Tom Farrell from Farrell Design-Build Companies; Jessica Meadows, PE from Smith Structural Group; and, Lars Nelson from Tensar Geosynthetics.
“We understand the tremendous value of this time together,” states Craig Hill, CEO of Earth Systems. “It is important for us to have a connected practice. With offices spread throughout the state of California, these corporate seminars give us a chance to network on both a professional and personal level. They act as a sounding board to our daily or unique issues encountered throughout the year. It provides a forum for us to discuss the latest developments in management, a reference point to industry news, and well, a bit of socialization never hurt anything either.”
