SLO Skate Park Ribbon Cutting
After years in the making, the San Luis Obispo Skate Park opened with a red ribbon cutting on February 28th, 2015. Congratulations to the City of San Luis Obispo, the design & construction team, and to all involved in making this project a reality.
The SLO Skate Park is a 15,500 square foot facility within the Santa Rosa Park. The project includes the primary skate spaces, an amphitheater, a public event plaza, and public art.
“This is such an important project for the community,” said Fred Potthast, President of Earth Systems Pacific in San Luis Obispo. “We are thrilled that the community came together and made this project happen. Now, kids of all ages have a wonderful place to skate and play.”
Earth Systems participated on the design team as the geotechnical engineer and provided geotechnical observation, materials testing & special inspection during the construction of the project.
